Green Glue is a viscoelastic damping compound that works to dissipate vibration caused by sound waves as they travel through ceilings, walls and floors. Very simply, when applied between two layers of rigid board material, the Compound works to greatly reduce the noise traveling from one room to the other.  Unlike other sound proofing compound, Green Glue is especially effective in reducing low frequency noise common with home entertainment and theatre systems.

The use of Green Glue between 2 layers of gypsum boards can improve the sound transmission loss of up to 12 dB compared to one without.

Higher in performance and lower in cost than competitive products, Green Glue is also fast and easy to apply using a standard caulking gun.  No measuring or troweling is need hence resulting in fast application time.  Green Glue dispenses with little effort and will not flow off the board during application. Since Green Glue is not adhesive, mechanical fasteners such as screws are required.
