Enkasonic® is an acoustic underlayment system made from a composite of nylon filaments which forms a three-dimensional mat bonded to a non-woven farbic. When lay between the base concrete slab and selected hard floor finishes, it significantly reduces footfalls noise and other impact noise eg from falling objects, in a multi-storey building. From hardwood to marble, Enkasonic® works effectively by creating a void in the floor’s construction that breaks sound transmission between the ceiling-floor assembly.
